MyTrip to London

Here are some pics from my recent trip to London. I was a lot of fun but would have been much better had my friend I was going to see had not been deported back to the States.

Usual tourist stuff:

Big Benjamins

London Eyeballs

Parliament

Westminster Abbey

Tower of London

This photo was the theme of most my trip and probably explains why I had a hard time waking up any earlier then 11.

Right after this photo I stole a motorcycle and jumped that gap.

While I was there I dropped a deposit on my new flat. Real bargain, only 1 trillion pounds.

It also comes with this fancy fountain outside...

Spent a day in Highgate Cemetery which is really old, overgrown and spooky. ooooooohhh...

Had a very "Goth" moment when we met this guy and he continued to give us his private tour of the cemetery.

Karl Marx is buried here, most likely by underpaid disgruntled gravediggers who didn't have the same standard of living as him. Groucho, Gummo, Harpo, Gimme and Zeppo were nowhere to be found.

...this kid looks really bored...cheer up bud, it's just death.

One day we went to Greenwich to see the prime meridian so I could stand in both hemispheres at the same time.

Saw some "famous" street art...

Here is Embankment which has been in countless skat/graf videos.

An old college...

Museum of Natural Science

Not only do people cross here but very old couples too.

This was our ride for most the trip.

Overall it was a good time. I thought London would feel older but it felt like NYC, just cleaner, nicer people and really really expensive. Some other highlights not shown here were Portobello Market, Camden Town, Garlic and Shots (Garlic beer is disgusting), Belgo for my birthday, Tate Modern with a show of Louise Bourgeois and staying up late with Johanna drinking and playing Tony Hawk.

Cheers
